Cake
Cake tasting today...yum. We've been cake experimenting at home without a picture of what we want exactly. The Cake Boutique was too expensive, but it helped us form an idea for a cake. I have a cake vision...
Any ideas about the frosting though? I think fondant is too sponge-like. Casey doesn't like the taste of buttercream.
I'll try to post more often now. We've been doing a lot of wedding research over the last couple months but not much decision making. We still don't technically have a ceremony site or reception site booked yet. We have one in mind but its not ours until we put a deposit down. Strangely though, they only accept cash/check. Who has thousands of dollars laying around? I'm a little apprehensive not seeing it in person too, but I'm sure it will all be fine.

first of all, congrats on getting your dress! that is such a great feeling. i second whipped frosting. also keep in mind that usually there is a layer of frosting under the fondant and the people cutting your cake are supposed to peel off the fondant before serving.... fondant tastes kinda yucky:-)

Fondant makes it look super pretty, but it doesn't taste good at all. Personally, I like the buttercream, but you might try looking here for some good ideas.
